National TB Conference
Every year, with partners such as the Association of Public Health Laboratories, The Union North America Region, and the California TB Controllers Association, NTCA organizes the National TB Conference. The conference’s educational sessions cover the full range of topics on TB, from basic science and epidemiology to direct patient care. When the conference is held in person, each of NTCA’s sections holds its annual meeting, providing an opportunity for nurses, clinicians, and epidemiologists specializing in TB to meet, share expertise, and network.
Educational Webinars
Through its sections and committees and in partnership with the Centers of Excellence and Heartland National TB Center, NTCA has hosted webinars on a wide range of topics, including corrections, artificial intelligence, Hansen’s disease, and laboratory testing.
Archived webinars are available to view in the NTCA eLearning Center.
Best Practice Forums
NTCA hosts TB Program Managers Forums and Community of Practice meetings on Zoom to foster the exchange of information, templates and tips. NTCA’s membership includes people with a range of experience working in TB programs. These best practice forums have built community and allowed TB professionals of different experience levels to ask questions and share knowledge, tools, and tips in a supportive, collegial environment.
Membership Meetings
NTCA hosts quarterly All-Member Calls on Zoom for its membership. During the National TB Conference, NTCA also conducts a Town Hall meeting.
The three NTCA sections for nurses, clinicians, and epidemiologists host member calls and periodic online meetings on Zoom. At the in-person National TB Conference, each section holds an all-day meeting with educational sessions and networking.
