2026 Annual NTNC Section Meeting
The annual NTNC section meeting will be held in person on June 9 from 10:00 am -3:30 pm at the National TB Conference in Palm Springs, California. Competing priorities of respiratory isolation recommendations: from paper to practice. This session will focus on the nursing voice throughout the development of the new NTCA Respiratory Isolation Restrictions (RIR) and challenges to implementation. The meeting offers an opportunity to discuss patient scenarios in small groups will be the emphasis of the interactive afternoon session. A variety of tools will be presented to help ensure the focus on the patient’s needs and engagement during isolation and throughout treatment completion.
The conference website is open for registration, and displays the current conference agenda, updated as speakers and presentation titles are finalized.
NTNC All-Member Calls
NTNC hosts all-member calls on Zoom. Meetings are announced by email and posted on the NTCA website calendar.
NTNC ListServe
NTNC offers members access to a list serve to connect and share expertise on questions related to TB nursing. NTNC members from around the United States share their knowledge and experience from working in diverse settings as they discuss and provide insight on the issues raised.
Webinars
In collaboration with the TB Centers of Excellence and Heartland National TB Center, the NTNC takes turns hosting educational webinars on TB nursing topics. Archived webinars are available to view in the
NTCA eLearning Center.
National TB Conference
Along with members of the NTCA Board and other NTCA sections, NTNC members contribute to conference planning work, moderate sessions, serve as panelists, and present at the National TB Conference.

TB Nurse Case Management Core Competencies
NTNC members developed the TB Nurse Case Management Core Competencies to preserve and grow expertise in the specialty area of TB nursing. This publication seeks to provide a framework with which new nurses can expand their knowledge about and master the skills required in the practice of TB nurse case management. Interjurisdictional Transfer Notification Form
NTNC and Society for Epidemiology in TB Control (SETC) members collaborated to revise this form to make it easier to use. The form is intended to promote uninterrupted TB treatment and case management of persons confirmed with or thought to have TB disease; evaluation, testing and treatment of persons identified as close contacts to a person with infectious TB; and evaluation of persons referred by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Global Migration Health.
