The NNDSS Modernization Initiative (NMI) Implementation Spreadsheet is a template tool intended to aid public health agencies in conducting and documenting (1) a gap analysis between data elements collected in a surveillance information system and those specified in the message mapping guide (MMG) for HL7 case notification and (2) mappings and translations of the PHA local data elements to aid in populating the HL7 case notification message. TB and LTBI Message Mapping Guide and Test Case Scenario Worksheet
The TB and LTBI case notification MMG v3.0.2 is a specification for a unified message. This guide, in combination with the generic individual case notification MMG v2, describes the content (i.e., data elements and valid values) of HL7 case notification messages and the instructions for using the message mapping specification (see References section) in order to submit HL7 case notifications for TB and LTBI to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The intended audiences for this document are the state/local health departments, CDC programs, and other public health-related organizations interested in using the HL7 V2.5.1 case notification message specification for transmitting their data elements to CDC.
