Pediatric TB Webcast Series 1: Adolescent TB

Designed for healthcare professionals, the series highlights real-world challenges and evidence-based strategies to improve TB care across pediatric populations. This session explores the epidemiology of tuberculosis among adolescents and the biological, social, and developmental factors influencing TB risk, diagnosis, and outcomes. Participants will examine the intersection of TB, mental health, and stigma, including the effects of isolation and treatment burden on adherence and well-being, and review public health strategies to reduce stigma, support mental health needs, and strengthen engagement with adolescents, families, schools, and community partners to improve TB prevention and care.
