Session 1 introduces the practice of TB Epidemiology to new TB epidemiologists. The training will introduce key concepts, terms, and resources TB epidemiologists use in their daily work. An overview of the National Tuberculosis Indicators Project (NTIP) will be covered, connecting the TB epidemiologist’s role to NTIP and demonstrating the critical role TB epidemiologists play in the broader TB program. The training will be hosted via Zoom and include lectures, discussion, and Q&A. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 2 PM PT | 5 PM ET.

The Training Series for TB Epidemiologists is jointly provided by the Curry International Tuberculosis Center and Rutgers Global Tuberculosis Institute in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Attending all three sessions is not required; however, it is recommend that new TB epidemiologists attend the first two sessions to get the most benefit from this training for their roles in TB.
